Saudi Arabia Really Likes Flight Of The Navigator

Posted by Bradley under News

The King Abdulaziz Center for Knowledge and Culture is Saudi Arabia‘s new cultural center.  And it’s future-gorgeous.

The design competition sanctioned by Saudi Aramco (see worlds largest oil company) featured five internationally recognized architectural firms — Snøhetta ultimately getting top billing.  Wow indeed.

Now if only the United States could be inspired by such elegant architecture.

More pics at the link.

With the epic world record release of Firefox 3 last week (8 million downloads!) loads of extensions have been popping up to make your browsing experience even more enjoyable distracting.

FireNes will let you play 2000+ Nintendo games right from your sidebar within Firefox.  You’ll need to install Java first (yea, I know, but get over it) and then the Firefox extension from the link below to get things going.  Check the FAQ at the site for controls and make sure you click inside the game window to active them.

New Alanis Album Is Björk-tastic

Posted by Bradley under Music, Personal

My goddess Alanis Morissette is back with her seventh studio album Flavors of Entanglement.

It’s kinda dance, but still moody and very post Ryan Reynolds, see “In Praise Of The Vulnerable Man” a great track.  Sounds are rich and expressive, sometimes angry, sometimes sad.  She’s back with her fun side on “On The Tequila” (fun, fun girls night out track) and “Giggling Again For No Reason”.

Flavors of Entanglement was co-produced by Guy Sigsworth of Björk fame.  Electro hot.  And it’s really visible on the first track — which leads me to…

You can get a DRM-free 256 kbs MP3 of the first track “Citizen Of The Planet” from Amazon for FREE right here!

Or stream the entire album for FREE at Artist Direct here.

I’m really quite impressed with this album.  Alanis is a lyrical magician.  She’s enlightened, mature and very female.  If you are a fan and haven’t re-visited her post angry-mid-90′s-rock phase take a look!
