Obama Font And Chia Heads Might Be Going Too Far

Posted by Bradley under Politics

Ok, I love Obama as much as any self-respecting liberal but a font?  And a Chia head.  Really?

Luckily the fine folks at Chia give us two purchasing options — Determined Chia Obama and Happy Chia Obama.

YES WE PLANT!

CNN And Microsoft To Capture “Most Detailed Moment Ever” For Obama Inauguration

Posted by Bradley under News, Technology

Tomorrow the United States of America will make history by inaugurating Barack Obama as the first African-American President in its history as a nation.

And CNN and Microsoft want to help by “capture[ing] the most detailed experience of a single moment ever”.

At the moment Obama takes the Oath of Office, attendees of the event are requested to e-mail CNN three photos.

Those three photos will be used along with Micorsoft’s Photosynth technology to create a 3D visualization of the event.

From CNN.com:

1. Take one photo of the moment when Obama takes the oath. If you have a digital camera with a zoom lens, take three photos (wide-angle, mid-zoom, full-zoom)

2. E-mail each photo as soon as possible to themoment@cnn.com (one photo per message, 10MB size limit). Don’t forget to include your name in the message if you’d like to appear in the list of the contributors. Please only send in photos you took yourself.

3. Go to cnn.com/themoment to see all of the photos in our photosynth

Check out this awesome example of the Roman Colosseum put together by National Geographic using the Photosynth technology.
